Quote of the Day

"It just seems like people are panicking.
I don't think it's going to be too bad."

~ James Ivery, an Alexandria, Va., resident, on a massive snowstorm headed to Washington that is expected to dump 30 in. or more; many supermarkets are running out of basic food items.

If the water resources in your country are rapidly decreasing, and the neighbouring country has an intact water supply... and if you think that in the future you will need the other countries water supply... then you will not attack that country saying you need their water. If you attack that country you will do so for another reason, hiding your real objective

Yes,
But this is not the "world"---it is specific--Lebanon has it--Israel wants it and is agressively destroying the people to get it. They are no different than any of the previous world's tyrants.

EXCEPT...it is hands-off "because we are Jews".

Monsanto has bought most of the worlds water rights--now it sells the water back to the indiginous peoples of each nation.

According to the DOD document on Cliamte Change, wars will be fought over water and lands.

I think, how I read it anyway.

The technology exists to get relatively inexpensive pure drinking water from seawater in vast quantities, it is call "Reverse Osmosis". The city of Acapulco, Mexico and the island of St. Martin use RO technology. If they can I'm sure Israel could as well...probably much cheaper then going to war.

Edited to add: oops Snow Fox sorry I didn't see your post...desalination/RO same thing.

The issue is not so much about the availability of water but the ownership of water.

In my opion beyond the ideologies and propaganda many wars are essentially reinforced business deals.

-- Excerpt from a speech delivered in 1933, by Major General Smedley Butler, USMC.

"War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses."

Some more info to support water as being one of the reasons.

Israel has instigated a water war- and here's a kill shot to any doubt about it
Quote

This exhaustive pre-2001 article by Tobias Eickelpasch posted at scripps.ohiou.edu/news/beirut/tobias.html
very clearly delineates exactly where this is all coming from.

This is a water war.

The Litani River is entirely contained within Lebannon.

The Israeli's wanted it even when the territory of Israel was called Palestine.

It has been an object of need since the initial planning to create Israel commenced.

And now they need it to survive.

Israel has drilled and pumped its own springs and groundwater completely dry.

This is very short snip from towards the end puts it in a nutshell, but I very highly recommend that anyone wondering what in the world is really going on and why take the time to read the entire article.

"Lebanon is a water-rich country in the Arab world. Although it has not implemented major development and infra structure plans - especially in the South - it does not face the same water scarcity as Syria or Israel. Lebanon is far from what is going on in for example Damascus, where the main spring dried up in July 2001 and the capital of Syria is now left with no more than four hours of water every day.

And Israel, according to Dr. Majzoub, has used up its groundwater sources completly.
Israel drilled so deep and pumped water from such great depth that the springs will never replenish again.
Israel now relies on surface water, water coming from outside the country and desalination of sea water only."

And Syria is pretty much in the same boat as Israel- the spring that supplied Damascus for thousands of years dried up several years ago.

Again, the crux of the issue:

"Israel has been dropping leaflets on southern Lebanon that urge residents to leave the area and move north of the Litani River. The river runs east to west in a line about 15 miles north of the Israeli border."
