D.U. is used as ballast and in the control mechanism of some planes. Further, we do not know what level of tactical nuclear weapons exist as at least prototypes. It would be consistent with the idea about the difficulty of using demolition explosives trucked in by night and rigged quickly and tested in-frequently being able to take those buildings down. After all, the buildings did come down like a controlled demolition and it is very difficult to rig three buildings quickly to to do that. It is even harder to rig them well in advance.
