How come I haven't seen any professional photography of ths comet from some of the observatories. I'd like to see a really nice close up of what this comet looks like. I am also noticing that mainstream news isn't giving this comet much attention. Quite a shame that we are more intrested in war then all these wonderous events in the heavens. _________________

this is fucking infuriating
http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap070109.html
when an observatory takes a photo how long does it take to get it out on the web? how long does it take to make the data ready for a digitial image?
who KNOWS THIS STUFF??? |

20 minutes to post new pic?
In 40 more, it should be all in view!

Yeahhhhh. Look how bright it's getting. It's only going to get brighter as it nears the sun. Can't wait! _________________

Of course it isn't but the comet looks bigger than the Sun in the SOHO pics. _________________

This is unlike any comet I've ever seen before, beyond my wildest expectations! Golly-gosh!
Here's the nagging question in my mind: Is C/2006 P1 (McNaught) a comet, or a rogue planet [um...Planet-Rex], or WHAT?
I'll be updating the flyby for the next week, if I survive, sigh...
