Quote of the Day

"It just seems like people are panicking.
I don't think it's going to be too bad."

~ James Ivery, an Alexandria, Va., resident, on a massive snowstorm headed to Washington that is expected to dump 30 in. or more; many supermarkets are running out of basic food items.

SWAN
COMET TRACKER'S MAPS
http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/data/summary/swan/
Finally, the full-sky observation images can be processed in order to reveal bright points in ultraviolet light by subtracting an average hydrogen glow. When the maps are displayed in ecliptic coordinates any point seen moving on an image sequence is potentially a comet.

Actually it is all about hydrogen glow. Hopefully SWAN will soon release more frames so we can determine movement, especially along the ecliptic.

SWAN has been really chintzy this last month with their data, updates have been frustratingly slow.

Funny that this site: http://www.tvcomm.co.uk/radio/last_24hour.html was showing "low activity" at the same time though, Kent. So, it "could be" meteors, right, but it could be what else? TIA...

OK...now...FINALLY, we have landfall reports.

Kent, huge, huge KUDOS to you sir for alerting everyone to this weeks ago.

No monster waves currently in the NDBC report, but then again, who knows what they might be doing with the data. Maybe they are just deleting every report over 40' or something now...

Has anyone ever heard of a storm 2000 miles aways sending 15-20 foot waves up on shore??

Seems MIGHTY suspicious to my old ears....

Big waves generated by a storm thousands of miles away battered Central America's Pacific Coast on Tuesday, destroying at least 20 houses in Nicaragua and a small hotel in Guatemala, civil defense officials said. There were no reports of fatalities. Authorities ordered 200 people evacuated in Nicaragua as reports of high tides came in from Mexico and several Central American countries. Officials said the event was not a tsunami. Huge Cobb, a meteorologist at the National Hurricane Center in Miami, said the waves were caused by a powerful South Pacific storm that was sending swells up to 12-feet high across the ocean, hitting beaches from Ecuador's Galapagos Islands to the Mexican resort of Acapulco. Central America was the hardest hit Tuesday, but Cobb said the worst was over and the waves should began to subside. "They should start coming down over the next several days," he said. "We expect them to gradually subside over the next 24 to 48 hours." The manager of a small in Guatemala reported that the structure was wrecked by waves, but other details weren't immediately available. In Nicaragua, 15-foot waves carried water up to 100 yards inland and destroyed about 20 small homes in Puerto Corinto, civil defense official William Rodriguez said. The government sent 75 Nicaraguan soldiers, firefighters and rescue workers to help with the evacuations.

Been having some fringy thoughts on the Norway Fireball, the way it was reported then stuffed, then re-reported with administrative disclaimers

so here goes:

HAND MADE FIREBALLS: A Tesla fireball is created by two or more transmitters broadcasting Tesla rays to create a slug of very high 'infolded' EM energy that is moved across three-dimensional space by manipulation of the ray parameters. When over or in the target, their contained EM energy is released in microseconds to create nuclear bomb-sized explosions or large earthquakes.

HAARP

Tunguska: Eyewitnesses reported sighting a fireball trailing across the sky just minutes before the subsequent tremor. This was followed by a bright blue flash and shortly afterwards, by an earth tremor measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale.

Recent Colorado Springs fireball
http://www.amsmeteors.org/fireball/fireball_log2006.html

NOTE: Colorado Springs was away from his usual stomping ground and I often wonder if Tesla selected CO because of the way the earth is "wired." Colorado Springs is now the home of five military installations...

Tesla Colorado Springs:
http://members.aol.com/phikent/shock.txt
Tesla was outside, watching the antenna. Any surge that returned to the area would run up the antenna and jump off as lightning. Off the top of the antenna shot a six foot lightning bolt. The bolt kept going in a steady arc, though, unlike a single lightning flash. And here Tesla watched carefully, for he wanted to see if the power would build up, if his wave theory would work. Soon the lightning was twenty feet long, then fifty.
The surges were growing more powerful. Eighty feet -- now thunder was following each lightning bolt. A hundred feet, a hundred twenty feet; the lightning shot upwards off the antenna. Thunder was heard booming around Tesla now (it was heard 22 miles away, in the town of Cripple Creek). The meadow Tesla was standing in was lit up withan electrical discharge very much like St. Elmo's Fire, casting a blue glow. His theory had worked! There didn't seem to be an upper limit to the surges; he was creating the most powerful electrical surges ever created by man.

Kent,

Fascinating. Can you estimate the speed of that "cloud" given the time parameters and distances shown?

Traverses from 19:00 -20:30 now we just have to figure the distance of the coastline here

Maybe San Salvador to Puerto Escondido, Mexico, something like that.

Still calculating: 652nm San Salvador to Acapulco

ummm.... how about 300 mph, eh?
