Just got this email from Mitch Battros
At approximately 6:35 PM (Pacific) an X-Class flare has fired off from sunspot region 930. This time the solar flare will be directed right at Earth. The good news (if you want to call it such) is it is not as powerful as the December 5th X-9. However, today’s flare is more than enough to cause problems.

I have no doubt the International Space Station has been put on alert by the NASA/NOAA Space Weather Center. Also the FAA and power companies world wide. It is times such as this the FAA may order high flying planes to fly at lower altitudes until the storm passes.
It is now public knowledge the ISS (international space station) is equipped with a “safe room) to protect themselves from dangerous solar radiation. In my direct communication with high level officials at the Space Weather Center, it has not been confirmed the Space Shuttle has a similar safe room.
Equation:
Sunspots => Solar Flares => Magnetic Field Shift => Shifting Ocean and Jet Stream Currents => Extreme Weather and Human Disruption (mitch battros)
Watch for severe weather to occur often described as wind-shears, straight-line winds, micro- burst, and full formed tornadoes. It is now also believed there is a direct connection to increased earthquake and volcanic activity.
There is no current evidence that yesterdays large asteroid '164 Eva' (65 miles in diameter) had any causal effect on this event.
Stay tuned for upcoming events-----

Just got this from Spaceweather...
Space Weather News for Dec. 13, 2006
http://spaceweather.com
X-FLARE: Sunspot 930 erupted again this morning, producing a strong
X3-class solar flare. The blast triggered an ongoing radiation storm and
probably hurled a coronal mass ejection (CME) toward Earth. Auroras are
possible when the CME arrives on Dec. 14th or 15th.
Note: The radiation storm mentioned above is of moderate intensity and,
unless it strengthens greatly, poses no threat to astronauts orbiting
Earth onboard the International Space Station or the space shuttle. The
astronauts are protected by the walls of their spacecraft as well as by
Earth's magnetic field. _________________ "I'm getting too old for this scary shit"

I drove back from Scotland to England on Saturday night and was surprised to be able to see the Milky Way so clearly, it reminded me that we're all in this together. My friend Lilian has never seen it in her whole life! It looked so beautiful. Thanks Kent for posting this
love

A violent solar explosion sent a dangerous wave of radiation through space late Tuesday, prompting NASA to order the crews of Discovery and the International Space Station to take shelter overnight as predicted by Mitch Battros of Earth Changes Media.
The solar flare erupted yesterday around 6:35 p.m. (Pacific), unleashing enough radiation to disrupt radio communications on Earth and in orbit while endangering astronauts circling 220 miles above the planet.
NASA flight surgeons and agency radiation experts determined that the burst of highly energetic particles approached a limit that made preventative action prudent, Florida Today reported.
Station commander Michael Lopez-Alegria and shuttle skipper Mark Polansky were told to move their crews to the most shielded areas in either spacecraft.
They include the mid-deck of the shuttle's crew compartment and temporary sleeping quarters in the station's U.S. Destiny science laboratory.
The back ends of the American lab and a Russian command control center at the outpost also were options, the report said. _________________ ~We Are The Ones We Have Been Waiting For~

That's the proton storm as a result of the CME. |
