The Associated Press
NEW YORK Mar 29, 2005 — Investigators of the U.N. oil-for-food program in Iraq said Tuesday there was not enough evidence to show that Secretary-General Kofi Annan knew of a contract bid by his son's Swiss employer. However, they criticized the U.N. chief for not properly investigating possible conflicts of interest in the matter.
Asked if he was planning to step down in a response to the program, Annan replied, "Hell, no."
The report released Tuesday also accused the company, Cotecna Inspection S.A., and Annan's son, Kojo, of trying to conceal their relationship after the contract was awarded. It also faulted Kofi Annan for conducting a one-day investigation into the matter, saying it should have been a more rigorous, independent probe.

Sounds like he has taken a page from the Cheney playbook. Cept he should have ordered all the documents relating to everything protected by "executive drivel(age" or hired Shredco. |

The silly thing about this is that the Security Council approved Oil-for-Food contracts.
Annan is the executive responsible for carrying out their decisions. |

I listened to the news conference on ABC tonite, and he said:
"Ahhhh, no." The ahhhh was dragged out, the no was clipped.
The AP writer needs hearing aids. I had mine on.

How come nobody mentions the Vice President of the US giving contracts worth billions to his own company with no competitive bids?
Swift Butt Vets for Truth will be taking out ads and writting a book explaining how Kofi needs to be replaced because he's tainted. They and the American Free Press consisting of Rush, Sean Hannity, O'reilly and all the cable networks will produce polls showing that the free world is demanding he step down and give the job to... Karl Rove. Karl will replace Kofi and the UN will have a Secretary General named "Turdblossom". You wil be executed if you laugh at him...
