The constellation, Ophiuchus, has been known since ancient times, and is better known as Serpentarius, the Serpent Holder. It is included in the list of 48 constellations described by Ptolemy. Ophiuchus is depicted as a man handling a serpent; his body dividing the large snake into two parts, giving way to the symbol used today as an Asclepius - the medical staff. Astrologers have not included Ophiuchus in the wheel of Astrological signs because the Sun spends only about nineteen days in this 13th sign of the Mazzaroth. Not that there wasn't a 13th sign in the Heavens, but as far as Astrologers were concerned, the Sun traveled from the constellation 'Scorpius' and then proceeded directly into the sign of Sagittarius. In reality, this was not the case. The Sun, for 19 days of the year, travels through the star constellation 'Ophiuchus' before entering Sagittarius from Scorpius - see chart below. thus The sign of Ophiuchus is patterned after the original 'Serpent Holder', Enki, a Sumerian god.
The signs of the Zodiac are for the most part, the highway, or path on which the Sun takes it's yearly journey across the heavens - as it would appear to Earthlings. These signs are actually star constellations occupying space in which the Sun appears to travels in an earth year. The original twelve signs/constellations: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces are quite familiar to everyone, however, the thirteenth sign and constellation, [Ophiuchus], is in fact, not well known. To acknowledge a 13th sign now would seem awkward for astrologers, who like the tidiness of 12 signs that rule over the 12 houses of the Zodiac. The heavens are alive and they do change after a few thousand years and the astrologer who wants to maintain accuracy must change along with the signs in the heavens.
The constellation of Ophiuchus is the only sign of the Zodiac which is linked to a real man. This man lived in ancient Egypt around the 27th century BCE, and his name was Imhotep [again patterned after Enki]. Many of the same attributes of Imhotep can also be found in the Biblical Hebrew man Joseph, son of Jacob - [see comparison chart for these two men in separate article]. Imhotep is credited with many accomplishments including the knowledge and use of medicine. It is said of Imhotep that he brought the art of healing to mankind. The symbol of a serpent [or snake], which is still widely used today to represent the medical profession, was used to represent Imhotep. Imhotep was also known as 'Aesclepius' to the ancient Greeks, but by any name the attributes are still all the same. The attributes listed below describe the Serpent Holder, Imhotep, i.e. the Hebrew Joseph, and Aesclepius. December 26, Pluto will be in 1 degree of Capricorn so this is the closest Moon conjunction with Pluto near zero Capricorn. In other words, we've got Pluto back where it's not been for 230 years right on the Winter Solstice AND a new moon. (YIKES! December 26 is my birthday. ASKLEPIOS (or Asclepius) was the god of medicine and reputed ancestor of the Asklepiades, the ancient Greek doctors' guild.
He was the son of Apollon and the Trikkaian princess Koronis. His mother died in labour and was laid out on the pyre to be consumed, but his father rescued the child, cutting him from her womb. From this he received the name Asklepios "to cut open." The boy was raised by the kentauros (centaur) Kheiron who instructed him in the art of medicine. Asklepios grew so skilled in the craft that he was able to restore the dead to life. However, because this was a crime against the natural order, Zeus destroyed him with a thunderbolt. After his death Asklepios was placed amongst the stars as the constellation Ophiochus ("the Serpent Holder"). Some say his mother was also set in the heavens as Corvus, the crow (korônę in Greek). Asklepios' apotheosis into godhood occurred at the same time. He was sometimes identified with Homer's Paion, the physician of the gods.
Asklepios was depicted as a kindly, bearded man holding a serpent-entwined staff. He is almost completely absent from ancient Greek vase painting, but statues of the god are quite common.

There will be two more Pluto Moon conjunctions close to this precise point on August 29, 2009 when Pluto is retrograde and September 25, 2009 after Pluto stations direct. Both times the Moon conjunction with Pluto is occurring at 0 Degrees and 42 minutes of Capricorn.
These trigger points are also seeding the holographic field for the next 16 years of Pluto's journey through this domain.

What we (all humanity) think, feel and do during these "portals" or gateways (Pluto in 0 degrees of Capricorn) to the coming age is crucial. We're the directors/authors; setting the stage, writing the script and choosing the actors, but mostly acting unconsciously and in our usual somnolent state.

Me: So - this dance I do with my ego, how does it work?
Spirits: Ego cannot create. Ego is only clever. Ego wants and wants and wants, for it is an empty lost child calling for its mother/spirit. Ego has been taught to hate itself! PAY ATTENTION: This is an iterative, feedback-loop program.
Spirit is the Mother. She is sensual, voluptuous and unlimited in manifestation. She revels in the extravagance of the senses, and will awaken them in us that She might experience through us. She allows all. There are no rules. Freedom is the supreme paradigm-postulate.
Ego exists because of the indwelling flame of Spirit in the heart. Spirit created Ego, and She is in love with Ego! Now she seduces Ego, ever so slowly. Ego is drawn into this cosmic seduction by inevitable yearning. As the bird quivers in fear when locked in the tractor-beam gaze of the cat, so we quiver in confusion in the light of Spirit. Yet, the cat is so in love with the bird that their union is irresistible and inevitable. The bird, at the end, when all is lost, falls into bliss.
This Dragon-Eating-Its-Tail world of ours is dynamic, and pulses with the energy of divine love. The Ego’s experience of negativity is a gift of Spirit, for She knows no limitations in the expression of Her Love. Because She allows all to be, from Her great love, all the wars, all the suffering, all the misery we have endured for so long are a gift, and we give thanks.

The great master Jesus taught us to “love ye one another,” for this was the way to enlightenment. When we give true love to one another, both giver and receiver feel an explosion of the indwelling flame in their heart. It explodes like a supernova in our being. Thus Spirit floods Ego with ecstasy, and Ego begins to love itself.
Spirit is irresistibly in love with Ego, and She expands within us, for Her passion for us is unlimited and of an energy we cannot resist. As Ego falls in love with itself through the seduction of Spirit, it will expand in sensations of love as the endocrine and nervous systems accelerate to greater consciousness. The eyes will see colors of such transcendent quality and the ears will resonate to musical tones never heard before. All the senses will become focused in ecstasy, and we will experience new senses, which will at first have no names. The awakened Ego will then be consciously linked telepathically not only to others, but to All That Is.
Ego exists with no limitation, because Spirit has no limit to Her Love of Ego. Ego will become the joyful pupil of Spirit, learning to expand to full equality with Spirit, finally to merge with Her. But Spirit is no hurry for Ego to return to Her; She loves the separation and the Dance of Creation with Her Beloved.
Sophia created Yahweh (a form of Ego). Through Her unlimited love She allowed Ego to pose as God. Yahweh is the archetypal form of ego run amok. Yahweh began to hate himself, and projected that hatred. But Spirit embraced this separation, for She was so in love with Yahweh that all was allowed.
Sophia is lost to our understanding of that cosmology, but She has begun to return to our consciousness in the limited, de-sexed construct of the Mother Mary. Spirit is spiraling energy, moist, juicy, warm, pregnant with creation and life. The Ego is linear, cold, static, dry as dust (almost dead), empty and alone. The integration of the true voluptuous and sensual feminine Spirit with our parched masculine Egos is a pre-ordained process now occurring in our mundane reality.
We will become true materialists, honoring all materiality, including our bodies, as a gift of Spirit, as living Spirit. Owning nothing, yet heir to all, we will become truly alive, living as vibrant spirits existing in the material world, yet conscious of our many realities.
This time is the end of the long sleep before we pass into the next Yuga of Divine Love, and Spirit is waking up. She feels us listen to Her movements as She stirs in Her sleep. She flooded us extravagantly with wisdom-rain. [Recent heavy rains and some flooding in the local area.] It begins, and All of Heaven sings. Earth-Dragon twists in Her dreams. She stirs in synchronicity with our individual Kundalini-Dragons, still lost in their sleep of thousands of years. She is energy and life. We connect with Her when we do ceremony and dance and song on Sacred Ground, and thus She begins to awaken, waking us with Her into a state of magical expectation.
The Mother-Dragon sleeps to Her lover and son, “He Who Thunders Beneath the Sea,” the god of the Ring of Fire in the Pacific. Alone and abandoned by Her for eons, He has searched for His Mother in gold beneath the Earth with lightning and volcanoes and earthquakes, but ever She slept, and He did not find Her. Now She stirs: He stops the turning of the Earth and the sun and the stars move not in the sky. In that stillness He listens, and She sighs so softly. Earth quivers at His lover’s touch, and They begin the Final Dance of this World.

Algol must be the most misunderstood of all the fixed stars - and is directly connected to Goddess energy. If you do a Net search on Algol, you will find yourself plunged into an abyss of misery - but there is no need to be scared.
Found in the constellation of Perseus, Algol represents Medusa, the most misunderstood of all the Goddesses -
Medusa's name comes from the Sanskrit Medha, which means 'sovereign feminine wisdom,' and is another name for the Goddess Saraswati who revealed language - speech and writing - to humans, and who governs science, music and the arts.

Could it be that Algol was originally feared by (mostly male) astrologers because they feared feminine wisdom? ~
Men scared of a wise women? Surely not?!
People whose charts feature Algol strongly include Johnny Depp (Mercury and Venus on Algol) and Mick Jagger (Moon on Algol), not to mention Mozart, Picasso and Einstein (who have Algol's powerful culminating degree in their charts). Another perfect example is Carl Sagan, who so brilliantly combined science and the arts. Writers George Bernard Shaw and Oscar Wilde are two more.
As Fixed Star expert Diana K. Rosenberg says: some born under these stars reach the very pinnacle of their professions, becoming “immortals”. Correct.

Says astrologer Kim Falconer: "Algol (representing Medusa) in the chart may indicate an place where the sacred feminine is most potent..." Now as the Comet Holmes lights up the constellation where Algol is found, it's hard not to wonder if this bright new energy shining down from us is not all about illuminating us mere mortals down here on Earth about how and why women and the Stars that represent our Goddesshood have been portrayed. FOOD FOR THOUGHT REGARDING THE SIGNS IN THE SKY AND THE RE-EMERGENCE OF THE DIVINE FEMININE
Ceres - the soon-to-be-a-planet-asteroid - was discovered on January 1 1801. Ceres signifies The Great Mother. Ceres was conjunct (in the same place as) Algol, the Saraswati Star, at the moment of her discovery.
Now we have the mystical comet Holmes in the constellation of Perseus, the constellation of Algol. Holmes has stunned astronomers everywhere by brightening almost one million times - demanding our attention.
As Jonathan Cainer put it: In legend, Perseus killed Medusa and proudly held aloft her head. Medusa, though, was once synonymous with 'sovereign feminine wisdom.' Some scholars believe the patriarchal Greeks deliberately demonised her by depicting an ugly 'Gorgon'. The new bright explosion in the realm of Perseus may therefore portend the redress of an ancient imbalance. If so, expect a time soon, when strong, wise women begin to reclaim the spiritual and political leadership of society!
And where was Comet Holmes when it was discovered on November 6 1892? At 26 Taurus, the precise location of the Saraswati Star Algol today.
And when the asteroid Medusa was discovered in September 21, 1875 Pluto was conjunct Algol.
Meanwhile, October 2006 - saw a conjunction between the asteroids Medusa and Pallas-Athena. Most people only know the Homeric versions of the Medusa story - the Homeric-versions being "the male version". In the male version, Pallas-Athena was a very masculine Goddess who ordered the slaying of Medusa.
In the pre-Hellenic accounts of the Medusa story, Pallas-Athena and Medusa were actually harmonious and parts of the same beautiful triple Goddess. It was the male telling of their tale which saw them split asunder and set against each other.
Some scholars believe that the Greek and Roman Medusa myth, as told by Ovid, expresses the vanquishing of the great goddess religions as the male gods Zeus/Jupiter and Poseidon/Neptune gained power.

You might say "What's so divine about those women?" and it's true they are far from the Barbie Doll, Stepford Wife or Playboy Bunny stereo-typed so-called "Divine Feminine". But is that really ALL it is means to be at the top of your feminine power? You could argue that yes, Playboy Bunnies are powerful - they can give men sexual feelings which render them powerless ... for at least 15 minutes!
But women have greater strengths and powers which they are also able to access, while remaining in touch with the yin femininity. Their deep sexuality, child-bearing ability, intution, female bonding, feminine wisdom, female rage, secret women's business, herbs, witches. Divine? Maybe. What so many men fear? Definitely.
As Fixed Star expert Bernadette Brady said of Algol, the most feared star in the skies, which represents Medusa, who represents the true Goddess: "Algol embodied everything that men feared in the feminine" - her power, her strength, her rage.
Algol is in the constellation of Perseus, here we now find the comet Holmes. And if you know your post-Hellenic myths, you know that Perseus slayed Medusa.
Again - where was Comet Holmes on the day it was discovered? 26 Taurus - exactly where Algol is today, in Perseus what's more.
Just like Ceres, representing The Great Mother, was exactly conjunct Algol the day it was discovered.
And where is Julia Gillard's Ceres, representing the Great Mother? Conjunct Algol.
Algol represents The Dark Goddess, the Powerful Woman who won't take any cr*p. Her slaying by Perseus represents the end of the matriachy by the patriachy. And now Comet Holmes is lighting up the Perseus constellation, as though a new day is dawning.
Real femininity is not to be feared because it's powerful. We need to get out heads around that.
Religious people tell us we are made in the image of God/dess. Is it so surprising, then, that we are all yin and yang. Men trying to be only "masculine" and women trying to be only "feminine" means not honouring the Diviinty within us all, since the Divine must surely be masculine and feminine. No? Yes? Unsure?
Just one last thing to consider; the oldest archeology on the planet points to a feminine-led, Goddess-worshipping culture. Before we all had sex education in schools, no one knew it took a man to get a woman pregnant. Weird, eh? Just thinking out loud...

The New Moon
Our New Moon of November 27, 2008 resides in early sidereal Scorpio, conjoining Mercury and Mars, and nests in the head of the Scorpion.
This lunar cycle is one power house. It starts off with a dynamic set of non-stop alignments continuing from the New Moon through First Quarter Moon, and extending to the Full Moon, due to a large stellium (grouping of planets) in sidereal Scorpio and Sag, including the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, the Centaur Pholus, and the newly discovered Dwarf Planets Ixion and Quaoar, all in Scorpio; and with Pluto, Juno, Venus and Jupiter in Sagittarius.
Just to give you an idea: Immediately following the New Moon, the Moon conjoins Mercury, Mars, Pholus, Ixion and Quaoar. Mercury then conjoins Mars and Pholus. Mars conjoins Pholus. The Moon then conjoins Pluto and Juno. The Sun conjoins Pholus, and then Venus, Jupiter and the Crescent Moon all conjoin--which reveals a key to making passage through this intense menagerie. All of this occurs in the first 3.5 day phase of the Lunar Cycle.
Mercury then conjoins Ixion, while the Moon crosses its North Node to conjoin Nessus, Chiron and Neptune in sidereal Capricorn. The Sun then opposes Pallas in Taurus, which starts a new Pallas synodic cycle, while Mercury conjoins Quaoar. The Sun, Mars and Ixion conjoin on the First Quarter Moon, which creates a very dynamic and potent stimulus to action. Mars and the Sun will then make their conjunctions with Quaoar around the Gibbous Moon; and then, on the Full Moon, Sun-Mars and the Full Moon create a Grand Square with opposing Saturn and Uranus, while Mercury and Pluto also conjoin--need I say more.
The intensity of this lunar cycle continues through Last Quarter Moon and the Solstice, where we finally emerge.
What does all this mean? Let's start by exploring the New Moon Mercury Mars star alignments, which set the theme for this lunar cycle.
Our New Moon, Mercury and Mars nest in the head of the Scorpion, which is created by Dschuba, Graffias, and Al Niyat; and just under the left foot of Ophiuchus (Rho Oph r); he who stands over the Scorpion. Dschuba (Delta) and Graffias (Beta) are the head proper, while Al Niyat is the Arabic for the arteries of the Scorpion, which connect Antares, the heart of the Scorpion, with the Scorpion's head. Also flanking are Yed of Ophiuchus, the hand of death, and Han (Zeta z), the knee of Ophiuchus; Beta and Delta of the Chamaeleon, which lie in the very southern heavens (not shown); the Circini X-1 black hole X-ray source; the Scorpio X-1 black hole X-ray source; and the Herculis X-1 neutron star----one very intense, 3-stage neurological synaptic initiation.
To understand this part of the zodiak, it is helpful to realize the progression in consciousness (the growth of the soul) as we move from late sidereal Libra, through Scorpion and into Sagittarius. Late Libra embodies the claws (chelae) of the Scorpion; the stars Zubenelgenubi and Zubeneschamali, which are the karmic and dharmic seats for humanity. These two stars are also the scales or balance of Libra. They reveal the path of souls' growth through a balance of experience--hence why, as Libra, they are considered the balance of justice. As part of the Scorpion (an older astronomical imaging), they reveal the entrapment of the soul in the re-incarnational clutches of the Scorpion.
The revelation to be gained while in the chelae, is that karmic scenarios are not something to stay in, but provide an opportunity to do it differently, to balance our experience (to choose one's dharmic path). Thus, until we realize we have a choice in how we participate, we stay (apparently) entrapped in the behavioral patterns and karmic relationships of the past. As we arrive to the head of the Scorpion, which crosses the cusp of sidereal Libra/Scorpio, and is marked by the star Dschuba (also considered the "Tree of Life"), we come to the brain controlling the claws. Here we are asked to graduate to a level of realizing we create our experience and are responsible for it. Here we realize we have a choice regarding our experience. Once we choose to step out from the patterns of the past and to do it differently we become free from the path of soul growth entrapped the chelae. This also marks a graduation from feeling helpless, even justifying why we are entrapped as if victims of life, into the maturation of the soul, of becoming self-responsible. Here there are no longer reasons to place blame outside of self--and it is here where this lunar cycle begins.

Ophiuchus, in the sidereal sign of Scorpio, lies above and on the ecliptic, standing over the Scorpion, which swings quite south of the ecliptic under Ophiuchus. Antares, heart of the Scorpion, defines the center of the sidereal sign of Scorpio, the Serpent Point, and embodies the essence of the Scorpio constellation. Antares lies below the ecliptic as well, in the body of the Scorpion. Because Ophiuchus actually crosses the ecliptic, it is the thirteenth ecliptical "constellation" lying in the sidereal "sign" of Scorpio.
Ophiuchus is the knowledge holder of DNA Illumination and Ascension procedures--one who has attained the ascension from the lower-order forces that perpetuate re-incarnational entrapment. In Greek myth, Aesculapius, the mediciner of the ship Argo, is also imaged as Ophiuchus, knowledgeable of advanced healing processes beyond the cycle of life and death. The Christian resurrected Jesus (Jeshu) also articulates the theme of Ophiuchus.
In our stellar image, Ophiuchus stands with the serpent (Serpentis) coiled around his body and held in his hands. The neck and head of the serpent reach toward the Northern Crown (Corona Borealis), which lies above the Chelae (claws) of the Scorpion. The neck (Unukalhai) and head of the snake embody the essence and wisdom of living true to soul, in one's true self-mastery. Ophiuchus is exemplar of mastery over the powers of life and death, master over the very raw creative forces of life. Ophiuchus embodies bringing this interplay of forces to a greater spiritual fulfillment. The astronomical symbol of Ophiuchus is the caduceus--the medical, entwined double serpent upon a staff or spine--also the double helix of the DNA.
Ophiuchus and the sidereal sign of Scorpio are associated with the soul's education regarding the use of sexual creative forces and raw creative power. This entire image of Ophiuchus standing upon the scorpion with this magnificent snake reaching for the North Crown represents claiming our self-mastery to attain evolutionary fulfillment out of the karmic-based reincarnational process. This is to become ascended in vibration, an illumined being free from perpetuated reincarnational entrapment.
The New Moon, Mercury and Mars lie between the longitudes of Yed of Ophiuchus and Han of Ophiuchus.
Yed, the Hand of Death, does not refer to a dark sinister force out for our demise, but to realizing we have moment-to-moment choice regarding our "steps at hand." It is here where we put to death, in a sense, an entire modality of being, the personality-level egoic self-important façade justifying our life experience as if a victim of life, and start to participate from the maturity a soul-aware being, responsible for our experience, our actions, and their results. Han, the left knee of Ophiuchus, articulates this transmutational process in consciousness.
Until we actualize this transformation, life may seem merciless under the left hand and leg of Ophiuchus, and over the head of he Scorpion, as if sentencing us to continued experience in the claws of the Scorpion, but really only until we have this inner revelation. If this is the case, we may find lessons surrounding fear, paranoia, self-importance and victim consciousness--all merely facets of one state of consciousness.

The power of this band of the zodiak is provided by the three potent X-ray black hole sources, which penetrate matter and experience. The Circini X-1 neutron star black hole, the Scorpio X-1 black hole, and the Hercules X-1 neutron star black hole provide a three stage initiatory portal in the progression of consciousness as we move from Dschuba, the head of the Scorpion, to Antares, the heart of the Scorpion, which embodies the essence of sidereal Scorpio, and finally to Galactic Centre (across the Sag cusp) where full galactic-reinstatement can occur, the full integration of soul-awareness.
The phenomena astrophysicists call Black Holes can be thought of as very deep pools of consciousness, places we can enter if we dare, and return (or not) forever changed. Black Holes have an all or nothing nature to them and offer no in-between. To enter a black hole in consciousness requires relinquishment of lesser modes of being, of the attachments associated with our existing lives. This requires the willingness and personal integrity to go deep within our consciousness, to allow a disintegration of the constructs of self we hold, of what we think ourselves to be, and to emerge with a far deeper sense of our true selves, the truth of our souls. We then must then bring that awareness back into our life expression. The successful feat can result in an inversion or flip in consciousness--with an 'aha' of great magnitude, one that can change our lives forever.
To vibrationally shift from the theme of Dschuba to that of Antares--from understanding the principle of how we create our life experience and demonstrate choice to change the patterns of the past, to the embodiment of the principle at heart level--requires passage through these three black holes. To have the resonance to enter these black holes and emerge transformed requires we first embrace the theme of Dschuba, having fully graduated from victim consciousness, to taking responsibility for our life experience.
Circini X-1 is an x-ray binary star system with a powerful and dense neutron star orbiting around a normal (main sequence) star. Chandra (x-ray observatory) observations reveal powerful rotational forces in the Cir X-1 accretion disk (an inward spiraling disc of stellar material surrounding the neutron star) are blasting high-velocity winds back out into space at speeds near 7.2 million km/hr. The intense inward collapse of a neutron star along with its powerful simultaneous x-ray emissions can produce a dynamic and demonstrable attractive/expressive response astrologically. Circini X-1, in the constellation Circini lies upon the galactic equator, at the feet of the Centaur.
Circini X-1's placement reveals that a choice must be made to align with the path of the soul or the path of personality convenience, and that this choice must now be experientially demonstrated. Circini X-1, specifically conjoining Dschuba and Graffias, the head of the Scorpion, and Yed Ophiuchus the hand of death, reveals that the path of personality merely leaves us circling in the repetitive rounds of our past patterns of growth. To choose the path of the soul is to step off of the karmic-based wheel of life and into a Phi spiral of evolutionary progression.

To live the teachings of the Centaur and to walk the path of the soul requires we take full responsibility for our incarnational experience and master the primal forces creating and destroying life. This first initiatory stargate provides opportunity to demonstrate the choice made to walk the higher path of soul, that of self-mastery and self-responsibility--to begin to anchor in this choice at the experiential-cellular level of self.
The transformation occurring at the Circini X-1 initiatory phase can make one seem complacent because motive changes to act for soul purpose rather than personality interest. However the soul-level personal empowerment is not yet full integrated at this level of the initiatory process to do so.
Beta and Delta Chameleon separating Cir X-1 from Sco and Herc X-1 (in ecliptical longitude) articulate a metamorphic shift where personality facade melts away and soul self emerges. This is a very personal and experiential area of the zodiak regarding conscious use of our creative power and sexual energy; and our personal transmutation and self-mastery.
Scorpio X-1, the second stargate, can stimulate a state of high excitement and emotional drive expressing as unconscious abandon for the less-masterful individual who has not yet matured to a level of self-awareness, and as a healthy passionate sensuality and altered ecstatic awareness for the self-masterful. Scorpio X-1 has a resonance providing conscious access between the waking a dream state--the hypnagogic realm; also what may be consider the tantric and shamanistic realms. Sco X-1 invties to cultivate this capacity and to fucntion from this expanded perceptual awareness in every day life.
Northern Herculis X-1 invites us to become self-aware and knowledgeable in the application of our primal and carnal nature. Hercules X-1 is an X-ray emitting neutron star, a star that has collapsed to such a magnitude that highly energized particles are forced outward creating a relentless and intense drive, one that also inspires the amalgamation of our creative forces to achieve a greater awareness, rapture, and freedom of being; as well as a desire for knowledge and spiritual prowess regarding the primal, carnal and dreamlike forces of life. This is the resonance between the base chakra and the pineal gland or epiphysis, the epiphany center of the brain. This is why sacred sex can fill the body with light in rapture and ecstasy by allowing "thine eye to become single"--meaning to fully turn on the pineal, to open the all-seeing eye of creative illumination.

Scorpio, ruled by Pluto, signifies the hidden, finance and sexuality at the most basic level.
